Overview

A multi-sectoral engagement workshop bringing together stakeholders from government, academia, civil society, and the private sector to explore nutrition policies and interventions addressing the double burden of malnutrition (DBM) among school-age children in Malaysia.

Purpose & Objectives

  • Present preliminary research findings on nutrition policy landscape in Malaysia
  • Facilitate focus group discussions with key stakeholders
  • Gather multi-sectoral insights on policy implementation challenges and opportunities
  • Strengthen collaboration between research, policy, and practice communities

Key Outcomes

The workshop informed the development of policy recommendations and identified priority areas for intervention, contributing valuable stakeholder perspectives to the broader UK–SEA research agenda on child and adolescent nutrition.
